Architecture Adventure - Breakfast Club - Art Nouveau Window Ornament workshop

Architecture Adventure is week of free events and happenings to explore the places we are in every day. This year's week of activities has a focus on ‘home’ and how to make the most of the places where we spend most of our time.

 

Design your own 'light dispersing' panel in the style of Art Nouveau.

 

Join artists Gill and April in this weeks 'Breakfast Club' session to create a window design based on the style of Art Nouveu.

 

You may have seen this specific type of design in home windows across the UK. Did you know that it is also common to see these designs across Europe too? With famous artists such as Czechia's 'Mucha' making beautiful designs for everyone from Moet & Chandon to Queen Victoria at the turn of the 20th century!

 

In this social session you will be guided on how to use colours and lines in this type of art form as well as have a go at using paint pens and glass paints on an acrylic panel. The sessoin is free ot join and all materials will be provided.You can then take your 'self standing' window design home to catch light in your home!
