Mercury Mall community project film in Leicester Square This Weekend

Mercury Mall community project film in Leicester Square This Weekend

Three years ago the Mercury was the hunting ground of zombies, when we went to work on a mass community project.

That project was to create a movie with no cash, just using the local community to make it.

This week Death Walks steps from being a local project to being something much bigger, as this Saturday at 1pm Death Walks lands in Leicester Square as part of the British Horror Film Festival.

The film is up for 5 awards Best Film, Best Film on a low budget, Best Score, Best Supporting Actor (The centres own Jon Guerriero) and Best Supporting Actress Lucinda Rhodes.

This is just the start for Death Walks which also has screenings in South America, Los Angeles, Italy and Spain before the year is out, and is available to stream online from January.

The film is the first ever zero budget movie.

A number of centre staff and retailers appear in the movie.

You can book tickets to see the film here.
