Santa's Grotto 2024

Santa and his elves are back and ready to meet everyone at The Mercury!

Romford's most loved grotto has been running for nearly thirty years and offers affordable options with prices that start from only £5 to meet and receive a gift from Santa! In 2023 the family run business helped raise £2000 for Saint Francis Hospice and again this year a percentage of the grotto’s earnings will be donated to a charity of choice.

Opening Times:

The grotto will be open 7 days a week until the 24th of December.

Monday - 10am to 5pm

Tuesday - 10am to 5pm

Wednesday - 10am to 5pm

Thursday - 10am to 5pm

Friday - 10am to 5pm

Saturday - 10am to 5pm

Sunday - 11am to 4pm

Closed For Lunch

Monday - Friday: 1pm to 2pm

Saturday: 1pm to 1.30pm

Sunday: 2pm to 2.15pm

Santa needs to stock up on mince pies!

Special Days

Tuesday’s will offer sensory grotto sessions which are calmer, more inclusive visits to see Santa for children or adults with additional needs to sensory sensitivities. These sessions may include reduced crowds or quiet music.

Bring your doggies to see Santa in his igloo grotto every Wednesday or Thursday, yes we are dog friendly, Santa Paws! From the 27th November you can stop by the helpdesk when you visit with your pooch for an additional doggie treat and a chance to enter our doggie competition at no extra cost.
