The Mercury hosts fun dog show
Charlie turned out to be top dog after we went barking mad with fun dog show in aid of two local dog charities.
The show was presented by Phoneix FM radio's Stuart Pink raised £600 for Upminster's Wanderers Haven animal sanctuary and Scruffy's Angels, which rescues strays in Romford and Dagenham.
" We had some tough decisions to make, " centre manager Spencer Hawken said. " There were more than 100 dogs to judge."
The ten judging classes included cutest pup, appealing eyes and handsome prince.
Each class winner was entered for the best in show title which was snapped up by an 11- year old mutt called Charlie, a cross border Collie- Jack Russell. Lucky Charlie won a bumper hamper full of doggie delights from Wilko.
Volunteer stewards from Foxash Fun Dog shows and Scruffy's Angels lent a hand or paw, to take the ruff edges off the show.
